Funcom recently launched their brand new entry into the MMO market, Age of Conan. We got our copy of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures through the mail, along with a limited edition AoC Zboards keyset, and we decided we'd use our first few days as the base for an initial impression.

This fall, a unique reward and character evolution system called Powerpoints will be introduced. This rewards active in-game behavior, and allows for gathering points through numerous methods, including owning a Battlekeep, playing the end-game at level 80, winning PvP matches, or simply being an active guild member or subscribing to the game.

After the incredible initial success for Age of Conan, a whole world of MMO players are eagerly anticipating the future plans for one of the most popular online games ever released. While Age of Conan has already evolved massively since launch, numerous expansive additions are yet to come.

While this could be useful to a beginner player, particularly if they're inexperienced to MMOGs all together, I didn't find the built-in hotkeys very useful. In fact, it would take me longer to find the specialized key on the z-board than it would to just hit "N" for my feats, or "R" to reply to a friend's message.
